Silo Hopper
A silo hopper is a large, airtight container with a bottom bin that’s designed to store and discharge bulk materials, such as grain, seeds, and pellets:
The stored product is kept off the ground to prevent moisture and reduce the risk of breakage
Hopper silos don’t require a sweeping machine, and the foundation work is simplified, which can reduce building costs
Hopper silos can be used for temporary storage in grain-drying plants or as buffer bins in silo plants
Hopper silos are often used when complete emptying of the silo is necessary and frequent.
Hopper silos are typically more cost-effective than cone bottom silos for silos with a diameter of no more than 10 meters and a capacity of no more than 1500 tons
